21st Century house harnessing mid-century modern sensibilities.

The house explores the transformation of midcentury modern architecture iny. Building upon the post-and-beam structures of 1950s Eichler Homes, it the 21st Century employs large glulam transfer beams with thin steel columns to create an affordable, large, uninterrupted interior space for a young family of six. Custom light fixtures that leverage the continuous beam structures and butt-glazed clerestory windows create the illusion that the roof is detached from the walls of the house, furthering the illusion of an interior landscape.
